About Us

WHAT IS PRO-VISION?

We are a non-denominational Missions Serving Agency committed to the upliftment of disadvantaged communities materially and spiritually through an in depth process of leader-mentorship that we have pioneered, tested and proven since the year 2000.

“Pro-Vision International is a dynamic and long overdue project. It provides an integrated model of transformational leadership through Servant Leaders that ensures empowerment of community structures and initiatives.”   Dr Janet Fröhlich – Fellow of the Fogerty International Aids Research and Training Project.

Dr Fröhlich has functioned as South Africa’s leading expert on community mobilisation and AIDS. Previously she served as the UN advisor in that regard.

Pro-Vision serves a selected visionary leader and commences the mentoring by invitation of the agency or person to be assisted. We refer to the incumbent as a Servant Leader. Once their integrity and capacity have been established our mentoring kicks in. Our unique mentoring methodology is defined as M-Cubed embracing the essential community development elements of Mentoring, Money and Management. Hence M-Cubed.

The HIV/AIDS pandemic has had a devastating impact on communities across Southern Africa accelerating the complexity of the responsibilities of community leaders and compounding the need for the psycho-social services that form a part of the Pro-Vision International service commitment.

Pro-Vision is unique in its ministry model. We provide Mentoring, Money and Management as essential components applied to exceptional community development and missionary enterprise where corrective action is needed to undergird the leader and empower the mission to achieve its full potential.

OUR CORPORATE PERSONALITY

  • Eighty percent of our ministry service is directly to or through local communities of faith
  • Ministry functions on a debt free basis
  • We are accountable to a Pro-Vision International board
  • We have the endorsement of an International Council of Reference
  • The team and ministry enjoy credibility with all known external and internal publics

OUR VISION

ADVANCING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF JESUS CHRIST
…by strengthening visionary leaders who responsibly embrace high-risk ministry by selflessly taking His light and sharing His love with people who live in spiritual darkness.

We achieve this through the provision of –

  • Mentoring: providing spiritual formation, strategic planning, skills development and personal growth
  • Money: including monthly stipend support, nutrition, the provision of Bibles, printed and study materials, equipment, building construction, medication and networking
  • Managing: installing management structures, organisational development and corporate governance accountability

WHAT WE DO

We serve the ministry leader, church or mission creating  a cascade effect within their ministry, ultimately impacting their community. The objective is to create an intervention that addresses ignorance and poverty, removing the root cause of dependency.

Our uniqueness is reflected in a specialised mentoring approach focussed on exceptional leaders.  We refer to these persons as Servant Leaders and to our mentoring methodology as M-Cubed. We select a respected Christian leader and provide –

  • Mentoring (discipling and skills development),
  • Money (resourcing and networking) and
  • Management (capacity building and coaching.)

The process equips the leader, enabling a cascade effect that flows down impacting the staff and mission of the organisation, ultimately creating an intervention within a community. A model of best practice emerges as a beacon of hope.

Our concern for a needy community is focussed primarily on empowering a needy leader with an established track record of integrity. Someone with a significant vision and in need of provision. Hence PRO-VISION INTERNATIONAL.

Our objective is to initiate a creative intervention in a significant but struggling community development project addressing ignorance and poverty, establishing a new level of potential and opportunity often in the face of dire circumstances. The root cause of dependency is addressed as partnership, faith and positive experience embolden the heart, empower the mind and employ the hands of the servant leader. It is a lengthy process.

Once achieved we take our hand off the shoulder and mentor from a distance. The values of the M-Cubed model have been embraced and imbibed. An intervention has been achieved and sustainability accomplished for the Non-Profit Organization. Value has been added to an impoverished community through the installation of new and improved community services.

We support those who fight for justice on behalf of the voiceless victims of child trafficking.

WHO WE SERVE

Pro-Vision undergirds leaders who have seen a deep need for nation building and advocacy involvement in their communities. They have responded with visionary commitment and pioneered a ministry. Passionate about their calling these leaders labour under difficult and trying conditions with little support.

A servant leaders motivation is not power or prestige but an intense desire to reflect the love of Christ by serving their community. We recognize these men and women as servant leaders. By invitation we come alongside to mentor and encourage, equip and strengthen them in their calling.

The leader of a deserving agency respected by the community is carefully selected. A relationship of trust and accountability is grown. The servant leader reference is not a title but does reflect the qualities we espouse as we invest time and expertise through our M-Cubed methodology. This strategy focusses Mentoring, Money and Management on the leader and their community project. Our final objective is the wellbeing of the leader, the accomplishment of the mission in daily practice and the sustainability of the organization through our timely intervention.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that the salvation of spiritually lost and sinful people is by the grace of God through faith and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
